In the previous post, I mentioned about strange happenings that happened in the life of Satyakama. What were these strange happenings?
As usual, Satyakama was moving from place to place, following the cattle. He would graze the cattle, whole day, and on nightfall, he would retire in some suitable place, lighting a campfire.
While Satyakama was taking rest one night, a bull came to him and started speaking to him!
The bull said to him
Satyakama understood one aspect of God, that the God is omnipresent.
As instructed by the bull, Satyakama started his return journey. On the way back, next night while he was taking rest sitting in front of a kindled fire, the fire started to speak to him!
The fire said
Satyakama understood another aspect of God, that the God is infinite.
Satyakama continued on his return journey.
Next night while Satyakama was taking rest, a swan came flying to him. It said
Now Satyakama understood one more aspect of God – God is the source of all energies.
Satyakama moved on. The next night a strange water bird came to him and started telling him more about God.
The bird said
Satyakama understood one more aspect of God – God is the power behind all perception.
But what exactly were all these creatures trying to tell Satyakama?
We will discuss that in the next post.
While Satyakama was taking rest one night, a bull came to him and started speaking to him!
The bull said to him
“Satyakama, we have turned 1000 in number. So, you can return to your teacher taking us along.
But before you do that, let me explain one aspect of God to you.
God is everywhere, in all directions – he is in the east, west, north, and south. If you meditate on God as such, you will find him as self effulgent and omnipresent”.
Satyakama understood one aspect of God, that the God is omnipresent.
As instructed by the bull, Satyakama started his return journey. On the way back, next night while he was taking rest sitting in front of a kindled fire, the fire started to speak to him!
The fire said
“Satyakama, I will tell you another aspect of God.
This earth, the outer space that envelops this earth, myriads of worlds that exist in that outer space and even the galaxies are all nothing but God. In fact, the God is infinite.
If you meditate on God as infinite, you will reach the realm of infinity”.
Satyakama understood another aspect of God, that the God is infinite.
Satyakama continued on his return journey.
Next night while Satyakama was taking rest, a swan came flying to him. It said
“Satyakama, I will teach you another aspect of God.
God is the source of energy that exists in the fire. It is also the source of energy in the Sun as well as the Moon. Even the energy in the lightening is nothing but God. In fact the God is the source of all energies.
If you meditate on God as such, you will reach the realm of source of all energies.”
Now Satyakama understood one more aspect of God – God is the source of all energies.
Satyakama moved on. The next night a strange water bird came to him and started telling him more about God.
The bird said
“Satyakama, I will explain to you another aspect of God.
Our ability to perceive things through sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch are driven by God. God is even behind our Mind that coordinates all our senses. Even the life force that brings us alive is supported by none other than God.
If you meditate on God as such, you will attain the realms of complete perception”
Satyakama understood one more aspect of God – God is the power behind all perception.
But what exactly were all these creatures trying to tell Satyakama?
We will discuss that in the next post.
A
