My interview on Smashwords.com

Smashwords.com has recently published my interview. See https://www.smashwords.com/interview/drking for details. If you have any questions to ask please let me know so that I can try to answer that too.

My book “Yoga Facts – Answers to some important questions about Yoga” is free now

My book “Yoga Facts – Answers to some important questions about Yoga” is free now on all retailer sites except amazon (amazon does give it free on some sites though).
For a list of retailers through whom you can download this book (for free) see the link on the right (my recent books). That page also has links to some of the retailer product pages.

At the moment amazon is not supporting free books. I have brought this to amazon’s notice and also requested them to make this book free on their site too. Hopefully they would do that soon. You can also urge amazon to make it free by clicking the link “tell us about a lower price” on amazon’s product page and provide them links to competitor pages where this book is available for free .

Hope you would appreciate this offer. Happy reading!

This book is based on questions that are often asked by several Yoga enthusiasts.  If you have any specific questions about Yoga please let me know through your comments to this post and I will surely include them in my future versions of the above book and answer them too.

Extraordinary claims need to be supported by extraordinary evidence

Human beings seem to have an innate craving for mysterious things. And many clever manipulators cash on this weakness. We often tend to forget that extraordinary claims need to be supported by extraordinary evidence. Making tall claims without supporting evidence – either logical, or literature based, or experimental – is not only misleading but can even be dangerous. Magic rarely happens and we need to be on the watch to avoid being duped.

Real Social Service

If the miseries of a fellow being brings tears into your eyes, go ahead and help that person. But remember, a better way is to do something to change the situation that has brought that misery. After all, you just cannot help each and everyone, however much you may wish to.

Do your duty

If you wish to bring some positive changes in the society, don’t be deterred if results don’t meet your expectations. Often they don’t. The results are not always under your control. But it is better to attempt than remain an idle spectator.

“The field of one’s operation is restricted to only performing one’s duties and never in deciding the results. One should never consider oneself to be the decider of the results nor should one indulge in inaction. (Geetha 2.4)”
