Which God is the best?

For a Christian, God means Jesus Christ. A devout Muslim swears that there is no God other than Allah. A Hindu is more flexible – he has a wide choice of Gods ;-)

Among these which is the best God?
Bhagavad Geetha says that
“Driven by inherent nature of an individual, his faith could be either Satvic, or Rajasic or Taamasic. Depending on one’s mental disposition and one’s inherent nature, one worships a different form of God.
This is so because human beings are driven by faith. As the faith, so the person does.
People who are Satvic (i.e. driven by love for knowledge) worship Gods who are embodiment of tranquility. Those who are action oriented (i.e. Rajasic in nature), worship demigods who are also action oriented. Others who are driven by Tamas (i.e. who neither have the light of knowledge nor are action oriented) worship spirits and other lower level beings.
But the truth is that the same God – who is one and the only one – is behind all these forms. It is that God who expresses himself/herself/itself through all these forms. But the ignorant people are unaware of this fact. And they degrade themselves”
Does it mean that you can worship any form of God? We will see that in the next post.
