Yohannan said to the crowds

“Produce fruits worthy for repentance and do not start to say within yourselves, ‘Abraham is our father’, for I say to you that God can raise up from these stones children to Abraham.

But behold, the ax is laid on the root of the tree. Every tree therefore, which is not producing good fruit is cut down and falls into the fire."
