Once,
someone asked me an interesting question. The question pertained to death
rituals observed in various religious faiths. Each religion claims that its death
ritual is the only one that guarantees the departed soul a ‘rest in peace’.
Does that mean that the souls in other religions roam around restlessly? ;-)
What happens
to the dead is something we are not currently in a position to ascertain. But
what happens to those who are left behind, is something we can see for
ourselves. If you are a Christian for example, if proper prayers are not
submitted on behalf of the departed near and dear ones, you will surely feel
insecure and lose your peace. A Muslim or a Hindu who does not observe the
prescribed rites, also puts himself in a similar situation.
Our minds are modulated throughout |
So
much is the influence of “mind modulation” that has gone on throughout our
upbringing - something that we are neither consciously aware of, nor something
which we had willingly permitted. - that
most of us can’t come out of it however much we try to.
In
modern times, there is another form of mind modulation propagated by modern day
Gurus and Mystics. The irony is that we willingly go through it and most of the
time we pay large sums too.
But
do we ever stop and ask – whether that is something we wanted, or whether the
one who does it is qualified to do it, or whether it is harmless and
beneficial? After all, our mind is the most precious asset we have, and we
cannot afford to let someone play with it.
So
you have to know before you do
anything with it.
In
subsequent posts, I am going to throw some light on various mind modulation
techniques which have been in practice for ages and also those which are
propagated by some modern day Gurus in the garb of age old ‘secret’ techniques.
I will not go into the details of these techniques and leave them for
discussion in my next book currently being written.
