[English] The Price of Compromising Values: The Story of a Modern Guru's Crisis.

Today, we will take an in-depth look at the twenty-five-year journey of an Indian yoga guru who has achieved global recognition.

We are examining this case today not out of disrespect for him, and certainly not with the intention of personally vilifying him. Rather, we are looking at it as impartial observers of universal human phenomena.

This guru's life journey offers a clear example of how an enormous foundation built on public trust gradually began to crack when it moved away from its fundamental integrity.

To support our analysis, let us first understand the vocabulary that ancient Indian traditions used to explain struggles of this kind, in real life.

They used the word 'Satya' to describe the highest form of reality. They did not define truth as merely a simple, fixed fact. They described it as a living alignment between the thoughts in your mind, the words you speak, and the actions you perform. All three must remain committed to the supreme principle of collective welfare.

In contrast, they used the word 'Asatya' to describe the fragmentation that occurs when your words or actions move away from the reality of your own mind.

If we look back twenty-five years, most people in India and many parts of the world regarded this guru as a leader who had brought a wave of revolutionary change.

He accomplished something extraordinary: he brought the ancient practice of yoga out of the secluded ashrams where it had remained hidden and took it directly into the homes of ordinary people. His intentions initially appeared pure. And no one could deny his influence on society.

But to a teacher trained in classical and practical precision, the first warning signs in this story were visible quite early.

These signs began to emerge when the guru started presenting a specific routine of physical exercises as the complete system of Patanjali's classical yoga.

He did not stop there. He began confidently claiming that practices such as Kapalabhati could cure virtually any disease in the world.

Yet these extraordinary claims had neither scientific evidence nor the support of authoritative classical texts.

If you read the traditional source texts on these subjects, you will find that the great teachers of the tradition never described such intense breathing techniques as universal remedies for every ailment. On the contrary, they issued strict warnings about them.

They explained that these techniques are powerful practices designed for specific purposes and must be performed with great care under direct, individual guidance.

Forcing a body without proper training, to undergo such an intense and unnatural breathing practice can cause permanent physical damage. This is a medical fact.

Nevertheless, when medical concerns and reports of adverse incidents first came to the forefront, the response from his organization was neither self-examination nor scientific humility. Instead, the concerns were immediately dismissed as part of a systematic conspiracy orchestrated by proponents of Western medicine or jealous commercial competitors.

Because the public deeply believed that he was a holy saint, people overlooked this fundamental inconsistency. The desire to preserve popularity and expand a commercial empire, had quietly, almost imperceptibly, pushed the rigorous precision demanded by 'Satya' into the background.

This initial departure from the right path set the stage for a psychological setback that reached its dramatic climax during the COVID-19 crisis.

During that terrible period of the global coronavirus pandemic, when humanity was gripped by fear, this Baba's organisation announced to the world that it had found a guaranteed and permanent solution to the virus.

To support this sweeping claim, his team presented published scientific data from studies known as molecular docking studies.

These docking studies were entirely legitimate. They used mathematical models to show how active chemical compounds found in certain traditional herbs could theoretically bind to a viral protein in a computer-based laboratory environment.

But this is precisely where we must apply the fundamental lessons we discussed in earlier episodes: there is an enormous difference between an isolated piece of data and the complete integration of truth.

Those docking studies were simply, data. They may have represented genuine numerical results generated on a computer screen. But presenting a computer-based simulation that had not been clinically proven as an effective treatment for COVID-19 to a frightened global population was a grave betrayal of truth.

Before any particular laboratory finding can be translated into actual human use, standardized, transparent clinical procedures subject to peer review are essential.

Yet the transparency that was indispensable to this process was missing. Studies were conducted on people without obtaining proper consent. Mandatory prior approvals from regulatory authorities were bypassed, rushed through, or misrepresented. The exact chemical composition of the drug was kept confidential, rather than being openly made available for scrutiny by the scientific community.

The motivation behind this, was not the welfare of humanity. Rather, it was driven by the haste to exploit an unprecedented human crisis for commercial gain and personal prestige.

By giving innocent and frightened people an unproven drug with false promises of a complete cure, human lives were placed directly at risk.

This constitutes a complete violation of the final and most important requirement of truth: truth must always serve collective welfare.

As a result, a profound and irreversible change took place in public perception. People saw the real face behind the mask. They came to the conclusion that the persona of a selfless 'Baba' had been permanently transformed into that of a commercial entrepreneur willing to stake his fundamental integrity to gain market share. Eventually, the time came to pay the accumulated debt of all that dishonesty.

This brings us to his appearance on a recently widely viewed podcast. To anyone who understands the deep psychology of self-deception, that interview is both heartbreaking and tragic.

There, we see a man deeply distressed by the loss of credibility of his organization, insisting that he is innocent and desperately portraying himself as a helpless victim of a global pharmaceutical mafia and a corporate conspiracy. He expects the media to support him because his mind is no longer in a state where he can acknowledge his own mistakes.

When a person spends twenty-five years replacing truth with data that is convenient and profitable to them, their ego begins to alter the very way their brain processes thoughts.

At that point, admitting one's mistakes becomes psychologically impossible. To protect itself from the devastating reality that its own decisions caused its downfall, the mind creates a vast, invisible external enemy.

The purpose of this entire series is not merely to criticize one particular guru, nor is it simply to analyze ancient texts. It is a mirror held up to you and me. 'Asatya' does not destroy our lives in a single day. It works through the small compromises we fail to correct over many years.

It begins when we exaggerate a small detail in a meeting to make ourselves appear more influential, or when we give priority to our immediate personal gain over complete honesty. Gradually, it grows silently. By the time it reaches its final stage, it is too late.

May this Baba's case serve as a reminder in your own life, of the need to align your thoughts, words, and actions in one unwavering direction. For truth does not need an empire to protect it; it can stand entirely on its own strength.

Thank you for walking this path with me.
