The soul is indestructible

"The physical bodies are perishable, But the soul that resides in these bodies is eternal and immutable. The soul never takes birth nor it ever dies. It is the body that takes birth and finally dies.

When our old garments get worn out, we discard them and wear new garments. In the same way, the soul discards a worn out body and takes on a new body.

No weapon can chop the soul. No fire can burn it. It can’t be drenched by water. Nor wind can render it dry.

This soul is not directly perceptible through our senses. Nor it can be understood by our mind.
