When
Yeshua went out on the Sabbath to a grain field, his
disciples were walking and picking the ears of wheat.
And
the Pharisees were saying to him, "Behold, why are they doing
something that is illegal on the Sabbath?”
Yeshua
said to them,
"Have you never read what David did when he was in great
need and was hungry? As he entered the house of God, he ate the bread
of the altar of THE LORD JEHOVAH, which was not legal to eat except
for the priests. And he gave also to those who were with him.”
And
he said to them,
“The Sabbath was created for the sake of man and not man
for the sake of the Sabbath.”
He
also asked them,
"Is it legal to do what is good on the Sabbath?
OR
What is evil - to save life or to destroy?"
